A cure for when writing doesn't suck

A couple of weeks back Maya posted pictures of where she goes (in her head, at least) to recover when writing sucks. Since I'm a big fan of The Secret and thinking positively and all that goes with it, I've decided to share with you all some interesting spaces to retreat to when you want to write.

The authors of The Secret recommend you create a Vision Board, a pin board full of images that represent what you want to achieve in life. So I merrily whiled away a few hours last week googling images of the ideal home office for my board. Here are a few results from my research.

The garden shed:

The garden pod:

The office with a view:

And my personal favourite ...

What does your dream home office look like?

Golly any of those will do!

But you left out the luxury villa in Tuscany, the one teetering over a lush valley with it's own olive groves and winery. And staff ...

Best,

Rach.

Oooh Romy, number two or three for me please!
But then I look outside today at the snow and frost and thinki'm better off writing from the relative warmth of the dining room table.

You've got me reading 'The Secret' too now and am loving it - it's def making me think more positively already!

Oh, I LOVE them all, but number 3 looks so warm and cosy. Plus I can watch/see the kids coming a mile off! Lovely post, Romy :)

Great post - I love the bottom one but as Rachel says, an isolated Tuscan villa is THE place to work (in my dreams)!

I wonder if I asked nicely enough, Mr Clooney would let me use a teensy weensy little corner in his place on Lake Como? Not that I would get much writing done but it could be my shoe in the door. What do you think? If that didn't work well then I'd settle for an apartment in Paris or Venice.

I hope you don't mind me putting in a link, but this office tickled my funny bone! Practical and slightly barmy!
But if there is a room going in that place in Tuscan, I'm available to travel ;-)
